As we are slowly adapting to the new norm, Park N Bark Mobile Dog Grooming is back in full swing, with many owners having their dogs washed, trimmed and pampered for the first time since lockdown began.

For many dogs this is an absolute treat and they would happily have us stay there all day. However, some more nervous dogs are taking a while to slip back into their old routines, so here are a few tips to help prepare for your next Park N Bark visit.

Preparing for your Mobile Dog Grooming Visit

Preparing Young Dogs

You can prepare a young dog for a dog grooming visit by gradually letting them become used to being regularly brushed. Not only will this help look after their coat, but it also prepares them for their first mobile dog grooming visit and will allow them to enjoy it stress-free.

Take Your Dog for a Walk

If your dog is energetic and enjoys regular walks, it is always a good idea to take them out before your dog grooming appointment. This not only settles the dog, but also allows us to give them the perfect grooming while they enjoy their relaxing treatment.

Somewhere to Safely Park

Councils are now taking advantage of the easing of social distancing to improve our roads and fill in some of those longstanding potholes. So, roadworks are suddenly becoming more commonplace. Please ensure that when you book your Park N Bark visit that we have somewhere safe to park our towing vehicle and mobile salon. We need to be able to park both safely and legally to be able to groom you dog, so please bear this in mind when making a booking. If you are not sure whether or not we will be able to park safely and legally close to where you are, please do let us know.

Allow Time for Our Visit

If we are grooming for example, a particularly nervous dog for the first time, it may take a little longer than expected. So, please do allow for this when making your booking. We pride ourselves on our timekeeping, however a nervous pooch must always be treated with the utmost care. We wouldn’t have it any other way.

Make a Booking

Hopefully these points will help both you and your dog prepare for your first, or next, Park N Bark appointment and I look forward to seeing you all again very soon.
